More than just cocktails alone, Iris loves bars, particularly the social and hospitality aspects of drink culture. She has helped open several craft cocktail bars in the DC and New Orleans area. She was a founding member of the DC LUPEC chapter, and is active in both the DC Craft Bartenders Guild, as well as the US Bartenders Guild. Her approach and philosophy to drinks is based in the classics, her favorite drink is the daiquiri.
