Edible Insects

Bugs may just be the food of the future! They contain comparable levels of protein to to raw beef, but with a tiny environmental footprint, taking about 1/10 of the feed that beef does to produce the same amount. Ok, OK, so not everyone is going to be on board with this - but for the adventurous eaters out there you can try a wide range of edible insects already, such as these packs from the Newport Jerky Company. Get stuck into some delicious Grasshoppers, crickets, silk worms, even scorpions and tarantulas!
